The ‘New Dairy Tastes’ concept was developed by KudzuCreative for award-winning Microsoft partner and enterprise software and services provider Junction Solutions in support of the end-to-end software and services they provide for the dairy (and other) industries.
This ad concept was created for the largest dairy publication in the U.S., and with its evocative imagery, speaks to the issues around decreasing margins in the dairy industry. Of the areas that are retaining and gaining margin are ‘new tastes,’ specifically value-added and cultured products (e.g., Greek yogurt) that have greater processing complexity and thus greater need for software to streamline operations and scheduling and maximize margins.
The unusual imagery was designed to be eye catching among competitive advertisements that may feature more standard farm, distribution, or product imagery. In the image, a flexible and strong woman is ‘tasting’ a dairy product, but in a way that demands a second look from viewers — emphasizing the concepts of dairy, taste, and flexibility, the components of the headline and subhead of this ad.
Because this concept was intended primarily for advertising use, it has more of a visual ‘edge’ (versus corporate branding look and feel), as advertisements allow only seconds for the audience to see and respond to any given marketing theme/concept.
