The ‘Fueling Thinly-Veiled Genius Envy’ concept was one of five created for ‘Infor10 Automotive,’ the market-dominating automotive software suite offered by global enterprise software provider Infor. For additional creative concept samples developed for this product suite, please see the ‘Automotive Software‘ page of this site.
Primary messaging speaks to Infor’s leading position in the industry, ‘fueling’ a solution so superior it could be considered ‘genius,’ causing envy among Infor’s competitors and competitors of Infor clients.
In parallel, messaging emphasizes the overwhelming market position (having 80 of the top 100 automotive suppliers as clients) of the Infor automotive solution suite among the world’s leading automotive suppliers, connoting industry expertise, credibility, and dominance.
Second-tier messaging speaks to Infor’s unique position in the marketplace, offering a single, comprehensive solution so perfect it could only be created by a ‘master.’ The term ‘thinly-veiled’ has dual connotations, first as a modifier used typically to describe individuals who are trying (unsuccessfully) not to be seen demonstrating some sort of negative or embarrassing emotion (in this case, envy). The second connotation relates to the red drape or ‘veil’ in the image.
Imagery depicts what can only be assumed to be an automotive work of art, draped (’veiled’) in a manner connoting artistic mystique. Against this backdrop, the headline harkens back to the perfection of a Renaissance-type creation by a ‘master craftsman,’ which (before unveiling) would have been draped as a portrait might have been prior to revealing the work to an audience.
